A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois (A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education) is a neutral, non-profit organization that allows all riders to unite regardless of personal differences in brand, club affiliation, etc. ABATE works to safeguard our motorcycling rights, while allowing us to be individuals with different views.

The mission of the members of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois is to preserve the universal right to a safe, unrestricted motorcycling environment, and to propose and advocate actions that can be taken by elected and appointed officials to protect and conserve the natural resources of the State of Illinois, and ensure through professional management that sustainable use, recreational opportunities and enjoyment of these new resources is available for this and future generations.

Abate's main concern is putting motorcycle legislation in its proper perspective. This is being accomplished though motorcycle safety education programs, public awareness programs, and other programs designed to prevent injury or fatal accidents to motorcyclists. By working closely with motorcycle rights organizations across the nation to stop discriminatory legislation aimed at all motorcyclists and by keeping the legislature informed of our position on legislation that is unfair or discriminatory towards motorcyclists.
